*Oakland Charter Academy was the only charter school in the county to win the National Blue Ribbon Award in 2008.

* OCA was awarded the Title I Academic Achievement Award School from the California Department of Education in 2008 and 2009.

* OCA has achieved a 291 point increase in our API score for the past 5 years. OCA now ranks among the top of all California middle schools. Our current API score is 942 and a school rank of 10.

* OCA was named an Honor Roll school by the California Business for Education Excellence Foundation for the fourth straight year. The school won the prestigious honor for demonstrating consistent growth on state exams for the past three years.

* OCA was named a California Distinguished School and California State Blue Ribbon Award winner in 2007.
